Biography

Lin Huff-Corzine, Professor, received her Ph.D. in Sociology at Washington University in St. Louis in 1986. Prior to joining the Sociology faculty at UCF in 1996, she spent nine years at Kansas State University where she led the Criminology program in the Sociology, Anthropology & Social Work Department, participated in the Ethnic Studies Program, and served as one of the three-member Governing Board that oversaw the Women’s Studies Program.

After serving as a senior faculty fellow during the 1998-1999 academic year, Lin became an assistant vice president for Academic Affairs in 1999. The Office of Faculty Relations was established in 2004 with Dr. Huff-Corzine taking the lead.

Lin continues her academic pursuits related to her long-time interest in the study of homicide using cutting-edge datasets and statistical methods. She regularly presents papers at professional meetings and publishes articles in refereed journals on this subject. In addition, she is currently working on a manuscript entitled Pathways to Murder with colleagues from UCF, Auburn, and the FBI.
